My name is Amber Dalcourt. Im Canadian and a graduate of Graphic Design. I currently work as a Digital Asset Manager for March Entertainment, an animation company up in Northern Ontario. In my free time I like to design websites, layouts, and write. Im currently working on my first novel, though I have three halve of three different series written.
Ive been doing small commission works since High School, generally for local plays and school themes. I won an award for Jour D a small documentary that I directed for film class. As mentioned before, I graduated from Graphic Design, and a year later I ended up in the Animation Industry, where I worked a number of odd jobs around the studio from Pre-Production through to Post-Production.
I dont actually remember the details. I probably heard of it through a friend or something. This sort of thing really isnt how I operate and I generally treat it rather casually. The idea was to use this place to see my personal growth as an artist, but now I think Im getting a little more serious about my work, thus Ive become more picky about what I present. Of course I have to problem posting experiments successful or not, so its hard to say what exactly Im using DA for anymore.
Depends on my mood and if your willing to wait an eternity for it. To me a request is a someday/maybe kind of thing kind of like a wish list. I dont do personal favors cause generally the favor is never returned, its never good enough, and its already somewhat forced on me. Unless I volunteer, itll just get thrown on an idea list somewhere. The problem is that Im super busy 90% of the time. The 10% is when Im procrastinating which means nothing will get done anyway.
I most certainly can as long as its within my range of skills and knowledge. As a fair warning it may take a while as mentioned with the Requests section, and I tend to be rather direct. I dont like to fluff my critiques much because it has been my experience that my point gets completely missed. I also recommend that you join

as I moderate this group and place a higher priority on these critiques than on anything I receive myself.
Sure, but I want credit for Line Art which means a link to the original piece and a mention of my name, and I want to see the finished piece. Of course its just good manners to let me know what youre doing.
